Seldovia Bay Ferry offers the ability for passengers to purchase tickets by phone (877) 70-FERRY / (877) 703-3779 or at any of our locations: Seldovia Bay Ferry Visitors Center, Homer; or Alaska Tribal Cache, Seldovia. Please arrive 30-60 minutes prior to departure to ensure enough time to be ticketed and get aboard the vessel.

‡ Checked luggage and baggage fees are one-way only. There are no round trip or volume discounts.

Notes:

  1. Round trip fare is ~ 16% less than 2 one way fares.
  2. Volume discount applies when 5 round-trip fares are purchased at one time – then a 6th round-trip ticket is provided free. (That is a 20% savings off of the regular round-trip fare.)
  3. Each passenger is allowed two carry-on items plus a purse or small bag (such as lap top, or small day-pack). Maximum weight allowed for all carry-on items is 50#. Each passenger must be able to physically carry (not drag or wheel) their carry-on items onto the vessel. The 50# weight allowance is not transferable between passengers.
  4. All firearms must be declared and checked in with checked luggage / baggage. Firearms must be unloaded and ammunition must be in a separate bag. Firearms are NOT allowed to be carried on, or stowed in carry-on luggage / baggage items.
  5. Coolers are NOT considered carry-on luggage / baggage and must be checked.
  6. Boxes are NOT considered carry-on luggage and must be checked as checked luggage / baggage.
  7. Bicycles and kayaks are NOT considered carry-on luggage / baggage. Bicycles and kayaks must be checked, and must be delivered to the vessel and loaded / unloaded by the passenger unless a freight tote (or freight tote equivalent) has been purchased.
  8. Passengers are required to place all of their carry-on items in the luggage / baggage room on the vessel (or alternate area designated by the crew). Small personal articles (such as cameras, computers, purses, day-packs, small (“shopping”) bags, may remain with the passengers at their seat.
  9. The Captain of the vessel has absolute discretion whether items held by the passengers need to be transferred to the luggage / baggage room (or alternate area designated by the crew).
  10. The Captain of the vessel has absolute discretion whether to prohibit an item from being carried on (and requiring it to be checked).
  11. Animals must be in standard (industry approved) pet carriers. All animal carriers are considered checked luggage / baggage (except cat carries and smaller).
